Mission & Vision
The Wrentham EDC works proactively to promote, encourage and facilitate the development of responsible and properly planned growth within the community, with the goal of helping to enhance the quality of life within Wrentham. The group aims to enhance and strengthen the local economy and aid in diversifying the community's tax base. The EDC also treasures the Town’s valuable history, culture and natural beauty, and seeks to give the residents more opportunities to live, work and play in an economically balanced community.
Goals & Objectives
- Serve as a conduit to connect Town and resident needs with businesses that strengthen the local economy, and are consistent with community character interests.
- Pursue and encourage new businesses seeking to relocate in Wrentham and support existing businesses seeking to remain or expand.
- Aid in implementing the Master Plan’s economic development strategies as a means to enhance the business climate.
- Explore ways to connect tourists to our business districts and invest in the role of tourism as a function to further economic development, including but not limited to the Wrentham Outlets.
- Explore and make recommendations about the role of transportation within Wrentham and our neighboring communities.
- Review town bylaws, regulations, and zoning for consistency with the Town's economic development goals, and make recommendations to improve permitting, licensing and regulatory functions to the appropriate board or commission.
