Membership of the Commission
The Commission is a volunteer board consisting of members of the community who want to assist the Town in achieving and maintaining a sound and sustainable economy. The Commission shall be comprised of no more than seven (7) such persons who shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen for staggered terms of five (5) years. Efforts shall be made to include a broad representation of the community at large and all appointments shall be made on the basis of the individual's ability to assist in the purpose of the Commission and their willingness to serve.
Member Bios:
Beth Bryson, Chair (Term ends June 2025)
Ms. Bryson moved to Wrentham in 2012 and joined the Commission in 2017. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Ms. Bryon has a sales and marketing background coupled with construction development and project management. Ms. Bryson has vast experience in various aspects of real estate, including being a licensed Real Estate Broker in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Jeffrey Spratt, Vice-Chair (Term ends June 2024)
Mr. Spratt has lived in Wrentham since 2009. He joined the Economic Development Commission in 2019. Mr. Spratt received his B.S. in Marketing from Syracuse University and his M.B.A. with a focus in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Colorado - Boulder. He owns Peregrine Property Management, a full-service property management company serving MA and RI. Mr. Spratt has held previous roles in real estate finance, development and construction. He and his wife Sharon have three daughters: Abby, Ellie and Maggie.
Justin Macione, Clerk (Term ends 2026)
Mr. Macione has resided in Wrentham since 2018 and was appointed to the commission in 2021. He and his family had previously lived in Wrentham in 2013, and were pulled back after a 5 year stint on the south shore. A graduate of Amherst College, Mr. Macione works in Corporate Finance and has led commercial finance teams for several global consumer manufacturing and retail organizations. Previously, Mr. Macione worked as an investment banker, focusing on corporate mergers and acquisitions. He is very active in the community and can often be found coaching / volunteering with Wrentham's local sports organizations.
Michael Aragao (Term ends June 2026)
Mr. Aragao moved with his family to Wrentham in 2015 and joined the Economic Development Commission in 2017. Since 2003, Mr. Aragao has served as the President and Chief Investment Advisor of the investment management and taxation firm he founded in neighboring Cumberland, RI. He received a BSBA with concentrations in Finance and Management from Bryant University and later an MBA with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Aragao's charitable work includes sitting on the boards of various social causes as well as being a past president and long-time treasurer of his Rotary Club. He has also volunteered his time to coach Babe Ruth baseball teams.
Joanna McFarlane (Term ends June 2026)
Ms. McFarlane is a lifelong resident of Wrentham. She was appointed to the Commission in 2012 serving until 2020 and was recently reappointed in the fall of 2022. Ms. McFarlane is a graduate of Tufts University with a BA in Economics and International Relations and earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson. Ms. McFarlane’s professional career has focused on the field of economics as an analyst, writer, and consultant. She has been an active volunteer for organizations such as Girl Scouts, Destination Imagination, and St. Mary Parish, and currently contributes her time to the performing arts.
Jeff Robison (Term ends June 2026)
Mr. Robison was born and raised in Wrentham. He has been on the Commission since 2012. Mr. Robison graduated from Providence College, where he played hockey for the Providence Friars. He has served on Wrentham's Planning Board and has been a member of the Wrentham Host Committee for many years. In addition to being a local business owner (Sunoco and Robison Real Estate), Mr. Robison is a volunteer coach for King Philip Walpole Youth Hockey.
Rebecca Zitomer (Term ends June 2025)
Ms. Zitomer moved to Wrentham in 1994 and was appointed to the Economic Development Commission in 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in business and psychology. Ms. Zitomer has over 40 years of corporate and small business retail experience. Most recently, she was the owner of The Young Artist's Studio and 2 other retail shops located in Downtown Wrentham. Prior to that, she was the Director of Communications & Business Solutions at Staples Corporation. Ms. Zitomer also spent 17 years with CVS pharmacy in a variety of positions including store operations, project & communications management. Ms. Zitomer is the Chair of the Wrentham Landscape & Memorials Committee and she and her husband are the proud parents of an alumni of the award winning King Philip Marching Band and have extensive experience in fundraising through volunteer efforts.
