What are Complete Streets?

Program Overview

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) administers the Complete Streets Funding Program. This program provides Complete Streets prioritization planning assistance to communities that adopt a Complete Streets Policy. An approved Prioritization Plan (Tier 2) makes communities eligible for annual rounds of construction funding.

The Town of Wrentham adopted its Complete Streets Policy in spring 2022, which was a goal from the Local Rapid Recovery Plan and the Master Plan. In Spring 2022, the Town using funding from MassDOT, contracted with Environmental Partners to develop a Complete Streets Prioritization Plan, which outlines a vision for top priority street improvements over the next five years.
