Tri-County School Building Project Info

The Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School serves 11 communities in the Tri-County district, Wrentham included. It was constructed in 1977 with an approximate square footage of 285,000 on 60.5 acres of land. The school facility is outdated and has significant deficiencies with respect to specialty spaces in lab classrooms, nursing, cafeteria, auditorium, and the gymnasium. The main entrance lacks security appropriate security. The cafeteria does not meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, and the structure does not have a fire suppression system.

In October of 2023, at a special election held in all 11 communities, Wrentham authorized the borrowing of $285,992,692 to pay costs of designing, constructing, originally equipping and furnishing a new District high school to be located at 147 Pond Street, Franklin. That total cost will be split among the 11 communities.
